Wow, I haven't posted anything new in a few months. But, I'm still here....trying to get back into the swing of things.

Fall

I love Fall...the cooler air and falling leaves. I always look forward to caramel apples, my birthday, and Halloween. Take some time to enjoy it. Dare I say winter will come soon enough.

Desk Repurpose

My son moved out recently and had a huge desk that he was going to throw out. It was broken and pretty much useless. Before anything is thrown out around here, the boys know that I like to check it out first to see if I can use it in any way. Well, it so happened that the top of the desk could indeed be repurposed...into a giant chalkboard. Check it out.

Garage Sales

Whoa! Holy garage sales! I was on my way to get a few groceries, and within a 3 block radius I counted at least seven garage sale signs. Well, I couldn't just keep on driving and not stop...right? Good thing I didn't...I found some fun stuff for mere pennies. Gotta love those garage sales! Eh, I can get groceries later.

Flower Pots

Wow, it's been a long time since my last post...but I'm back with a couple of crafty pots. I made more but didn't get a chance to photograph them before I gave them away. I'm working on another project too. I'll tell you about that in another post soon.

Valentine's Surprise

Look what my husband made me for Valentine's Day. I know, I can't believe it either. I guess after the chewing out I gave him last year for spending $160 on flowers, he decided to do something a little more me...lol I love this SO much better than flowers. On all the little tags inside the box he wrote reasons why he loves me. One of them says "because you're so thrifty" What a sweet guy!

Yep, it's getting to be that time. Costumes, candy, tricks & treats. What kind of costume will you all be wearing? I've got wings to be a Fairy...oh boy..wish me luck!

Flea Market Finds

I visited a Flea Market recently to find these fun items. I haven't decided what I want to do with them yet, so for now they'll just look pretty on the table. I got it all for a mere $2.00. The guy actually wanted $5.00 for the tray itself, but I guess the look on my face let him know that I thought he was a little loopy if he actually thought I was going to give him five bucks for a little wooden tray. So, as I started to walk away shaking my head and putting my $3.oo back in my pocket that I offered him, he decided that $2.oo would suffice for it all. How nice!

Confession

Forgive me fellow bloggers, for I have been slacking. It's been about a month since my last post. I was hoping to have crafty projects to feature and home decorating to share...but alas, I haven't gotten around to it YET. Can we say disorganized? I'll eventually get better at this and maybe even earn at least one fabulous follower....lol

Mr. Grumpy

I love the different facial expressions I get from my dog. I think he was tired of me taking pictures of him while he was trying to relax outside. He always makes me laugh!

Corner of my home

Sometimes when decorating you get a corner of your home that you really like. I'm kinda indecisive, so I constantly change things until I drive myself crazy and have to take an ice cream and cookies break... Yum! My husband just looks at me and gives me that raised eyebrow "whatever" look. They just don't get it! I'm sure I'll change this again.

My Bookshelf

I have lots of books and magazines on my bookshelf. Some I actually read and some I just love for the color and pictures on the cover. Here's one of my favorite combos.

My Boys

My step sons were in town recently. Throw in my son and my husband and I had a house full of boys...big boys that like to eat...a lot. It was fun though!
